A pictorial tour of Brunswick Heads' beaches....

On Wednesday, DH's golf game was later in the day so we took the opportunity to go down to the beach.
We walked out on one of the breakwaters...

There's the other breakwater...

We're almost at the end...the surf club is back in the distance...

DH standing on the rocks at the end of the breakwater; I didn't tempt fate by clambering on them ...I once fell heavily while scrambling over rocks at Caloundra :-(

Looking back towards the mouth of the Brunswick River...

A little sandy area on the other breakwater

The breakwaters create this lovely little safe beach as well as a safe channel up the river...

In this photo you can just see the bridge which is seen from our cabin in the tourist park

Looking south from the breakwater...the surf beach at Brunswick Heads

In the distance on the right is the outline of Cape Byron

Waves crashing on the end of the breakwater

This fellow was sunning himself on a rock on the side of the breakwater that we walked on...

We noticed these birds, seagulls and cormorants; the cormorants were diving for fish in the shoal which shows as a shadow in the photo

The seagulls obviously can't dive and are a bit put out by the fact that the cormorants were getting the fish!

The lovely old wooden bridge going from the beach area towards the business centre

Another bridge in the distance

Row of pine trees...

Turn left and you are in the business area...

And DH bought us a coffee in the lovely coffee shop opposite yet another caravan park... it had been a lovely morning!

Great photos. Makes me wish I was there as I do love to walk along the beach & a great way to spend a few hours.

It looks like a delightful morning. I love the blues of the ocean and that lovely white sand too. It appears that you're having a wonderfully refreshing break!
